To teach the children about ratios I would read Only One to the children. The book is simply for visual purposes for those students who learn through visualization. I would then ask questions to test their knowledge of ratios. I would then explain ratios and use the children as examples by grouping them together. Ex. The ratio of boys to girls, brown hair to blond hair, red shirts to blue shirts, etc. I will provide objects so the children can group objects of their own to create their own ratio. |
