- Summer of 1999 - my former classmates from high school times and me indulge in favorite activities: Bowling and Beer drinking! (I am on far right.)
- Millenium Party - at the end it got crazy with me playing the pioneer horn!!!
Roaming the World
- Spring 1997 - Let the adventures begin: party capital of Central Europe - Budapest, Elizabeth Bridge over Danube.
- Spring 1998 - Following the Northern route: Danzig / Gdansk - Hanseatic maritime trade outpost boasts charming Old City.
- Fall 1998 - Leaping thru the Alps: skiing capital of Europe - Innsbruck is surrounded by magnificent peaks.
- Spring 1999 - the capital of the Egyptian pharaohs, Memphis used to be a mighty city 40 centuries ago.
- Summer 1999 - Ottoman sultans strived to build bigger and bigger mosques and the Imperial Blue Mosque is definitely
a pearl of Islamic architecture in Istanbul, which was thoroughly examined by Lena and me.
- Winter 2000 - While many nations give gifts to UN in New York, i especially liked the one presented by tiny Luxemburg calling for the world peace.

- April 1999 - Photo of Creative Leadership class at AUBG.
- Fall 1999 - Talking with varoious Ambassadors and dignitaries during the Ambassadors' Day in AUBG.
- Fall 1999 - Conference on Nationalism and Peace at the Balkans'99 participants - discussing world's future and making good friends.
- Fall 1999 - Part of the Conference's program, Rilski Monastery is one of the most famous sites in Bulgaria.
- May 2000 - Four years have flown away and hopefully smarter graduates leave AUBG: picturesque graduation ceremy drew crowds and TV crews all the country.
- May 2000 - Yes, this is me seconds after receiving my Diploma boasting to friends. Well, the undergraduate years are over, gotta act as an adult now :)))
- May 2000 - 3 Musketeers: Vedrashko, me, and Akhmetshin became close buddies after 4 yrs and called each other exclusively "Partner..."
Hiking with Friends
- Fall 1997 - Hiking in Bulgaria - while doing my undergrad there, I tried to ascend all the highest peaks of Bulgaria. This is Pirin - and you can
actually see Greece and Macedonia from there.
- Summer 1999 - hiking and rockclimbing at Charyn Canyon - only 4hrs away from Almaty: testing my fortune for this picture, I stood only 10cm away
from the edge of the cliff above the canyon hundreds of meters deep.

- Summer 2000 - Medeo skating rink - the highest in the world: at the footsteps to the mountains with my friend Chursov.
- July 2000 - My cousin Vitalik and me on top of the Talgar Pass ready for the next leap to the summit.
- July 2000 - with all the glaciers behind, it's only 200 meters left till the summit of Komsomol Peak (the highest around Almaty; 4,320m). Short break for a historic
picture and climb ahead again - "Sky is the limit!" is our motto.
