The five courses listed above blend a mix of long, short, open, and wooded holes to formulate the top five courses that Oklahoma has to offer.
Mohawk Black was designed in the spring/summer of 2005 by top touring pro and resident of Tulsa Kevin Mccoy. It was the showcase course during the 2006 Amateur World Championships, which was held in Tulsa this summer. It rivals the majority of courses that are considered most difficult in the nation, and is a great attraction for the area's top players.
Designed by sponsered pro Daniel Stacey two and half years ago, Griffin Park quickly became one of the elite courses in Oklahoma. It has a great variety of shots that forces any golfer that plays here to bring their best.
One of the most unique courses in America, Twisted Acres is actually set up on a ball course in the Oklahoma City area. To play there, golfers must pay a green fee, which is a rarity in the sport of disc golf. Rated in the top five due to it's beautiful scenery and mowed fairways.
Hunter Park, also a course used during Amateur Worlds, is a long course with rough terrain. Best known for it's second hole, which is a 350 foot shot down a tight fairway in the middle of the woods. Definently a must play for out-of-towners coming in to the Tulsa area.
Originally designed by disc golf legend "Steady" Ed Headrick in the 1970's, this course has been redesigned in order to compromise for improved disc technology. It offers a good variety of shots, and is located in a large park, which is great for family outings.
