Good morning, Hollywood! While the rest of the country is obsessing with college football and the big upset this weekend, there are much more pressing matters here in the hills! Lie all you want, but I know that you're just as obsessed with reality TV as I am! Let's face it, if I was 5' 10 and weighed 120 I would totally want to be a contestant on America's Next Top Model---but I'm not! Instead of focusing on my delusional dream, let's get to the drama surrounding this season's contestants!

Whenever you get twelve beautiful women under one roof, let's face it, there is bound to be drama and conflict! This season is no different and the drama mostly centers around Shannon White and Britney Queens. Shannon is a 19-year-old small town girl from Kansas who has porcelain skin, rosy cheeks and beautiful long hair. Britney, also known as Queen B among her fellow contestants, is a strong-willed 21-year-old from New York City who feels like this competition is hers to win.

Enough about the contestants, let's get to the drama that surrounds this season! The show is halfway over and so far Queen B has been dominating! Every week when they go to the judges' panel, Tyra Banks always calls Queen B's name first, meaning she has the best photo for the week.

"Who's the fairest of them all this week?" Tyra asked. "You are, Queen B! Congratulations. You're still in the running of becoming America's Next Top Model."

This suited Queen B just fine, as she planned on winning the competition and the crown of America's Next Top Model.

Three weeks ago when they went before the judges, Queen B could have KILLED Shannon after her name was called first! What was so special about her anyway? Tyra had named Shannon's photo the best photo of the week and Queen B decided that something must be done about it! Obviously she couldn't kill Shannon, I mean that would just be way too bitchy! Instead she devised a plan of how to sabotage Shannon so she wouldn't win anymore!

That night when Shannon was in the shower, Queen B snuck into Shannon's bathroom in search of her hairbrush. When she found the brush she coated it with rubber cement! Don't ask me why she had rubber cement in her suitcase because I have no idea! Anyway, when Shannon got out of the shower, she went to the sink and started to blow dry her hair while using her brush that was covered in rubber cement. It hurt when Shannon was brushing her hair, but she just thought that her scalp was sensitive or her hair was tangly! Imagine her surprise when she finished brushing her hair and looked at the brush and there were chunks of her hair on the brush! She looked in the mirror in horror at the bald spots all over her head. They had a photo shoot today! What was she gonna do?!

She threw on a hat and went to the photo shoot all the while Queen B was snickering to herself and preparing for the death of Shannon's time on  ANTM. When they got to the photo shoot, Shannon went and sat down in the hair stylist's chair and just started crying. She had created a special bond with the hair dresser and his heart just broke for her. He was a little on the short side if you ask me---I mean we're talkin like 4 feet nothin here! That's besides the point! He immediately went to work creating a weave to put into the crown of her head so she looked like she had hair. He couldn't do it alone though! He got on his Blackberry and called in some of the best hair stylists in the business. Soon there were seven people working on Shannon...and they were all 4 foot nothin! Was this some new fashion trend I was unaware of? Anyway, they did an amazing job and Shannon was able to complete the photo shoot with confidence.

When it came time for the judges' panel, you can imagine the disgust on Queen B's face when once again Shannon was declared the winner! The hairbrush had been a good first attempt, but this time she needed something poisonous!  Queen B knew that Shannon was allergic to peanuts so what's a girl to do when she's desperate for a leg to stand on in this competition? Use what you know about your competitors to exploit them! Queen B made tasty cookies one night and inside the cookies were crushed peanuts. Shannon ate a cookie and nothing happened! Queen B went to bed super angry that the peanuts had not worked but she knew there was nothing else she could do about it.

The next morning the girls got in the Hummer limousine and made their way to the photoshoot. It seemed just like a normal shoot until people started screaming for someone to call 911! Queen B ran over to the crowd of people and at the center was Shannon. She was blue! Her face was swollen and her hands were up at her neck. Shannon was having a delayed allergic reaction to the peanuts! Gross!

Nigel Barker, fashion photographer and super hot judge, ran over to Shannon and immediately began performing the Heimlich. Finally after what seemed like forever, Nigel gave one huge push and out flew a whole peanut! Someone had some explaining to do!!

When the girls walked in for panel the next day, they immediately knew that something was not right.

"Before we begin," Tyra said, "there is an issue that needs to be addressed. I think that sometimes you girls forget that this is a television show, meaning there are cameras everywhere! Unfortunately we had a situation where there was sabotage between contestants and that will not be tolerated on this show, or even in this industry! Queen B, will you please step forward?"

Queen B stepped forward not knowing where this was gonna go, but she was shaking in her model boots.

"Your behavior is unacceptable," said Tyra. "Unfortunately for you, I'm going to have to ask you to leave this competition immediately!"

With that being said, Queen B was dethroned and left the ANTM house for good. Guess her modeling career is dead! Unlike Shannon who was just named winner of America's Next Top Model- Cycle 12. And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me! XoXo Gossip Girl.

Author's Note: For my storybook this week I chose to modernize the story of Snow White. For this modernization, I had to make alot of changes to the original story. For example, in the original story Snow White's stepmother sends a hunter to kill Snow White, who manages to escape and live with the dwarfs. The queen disguises herself as an old woman and comes to the cottage to give her an apple that is poisoned, a comb that could kill and a hair ribbon that knocks her out. In the end of the story the queen commits suicide and Snow White goes off to marry the prince. The biggest elements that I left out are Snow White marrying the prince and the talking mirror. I chose to translate the talking mirror into Tyra Banks who reflects the beauty of the contestants. The prince charming can somewhat be seen in Nigel Barker, the photographer, who saves her life. Although they do not end up together, he still saves her life and that element is the same from the original story. The reason that I left these elements out is because there was no true way to modernize them. My story would not have worked if there were supernatural elements, such as deadly hairbrushes and ribbons, or a hunter who kills a deer instead of Snow White. Ultimately I think I stayed pretty close to original form, but took some liberties where I felt necessary.

This story fits into my overall plan of my storybook because it is modernizing a fairy tale and putting it in relevant, modern day situations. It also has a female character who does not give up in adversity and is able to overcome those who are trying to see her fail. This story is different from my other two in that there is not necessarily a happily-ever after conclusion involving a guy. In my adaptation of Cinderella, the heroine ends up singing with Justin Timberlake. In Beauty and the Beast the heroine and her boyfriend end up dating for the rest of their college years. With my modernization of Snow White, I didn't know how to incorporate a guy into the equation so I just decided to have her happily-ever-after ending to be winning the competition.
