A quick overview of one of my favorite kinds of art
When it comes to art, I have to admit that I am pretty picky. In my humble opinion, a lot of the stuff out there is complete garbage. Either it has way too much going on, or the style does not fit my tastes. However, there are several types of art that I do like, and one them happens to be Surrealism.
I enjoy Surrealism because it is so unrestricted. Surrealism is based on the belief that liberation of the mind and society can be achieved by giving into the desires of the unconscious mind. Because of the philosophies behind it, Surrealistic art is much more imaginative than many other types of art. Quality Surrealistic artwork prints can truly take you to another world.
Although Surrealism has been around for less than one hundred years, it already has an extremely rich history. Many Surrealist artists have left their mark on the world with their truly extraordinary pieces of art. In addition to being an art movement, Surrealism has also played a role in multiple political movements. This includes political movements in France and Poland.
