This storybook project consists of stories about alleged Alien Abductions and UFO sightings. This has always been an interesting topic to me. I’ve always been fascinated by the unexplained and the idea that we are not alone in the universe.  Could you believe that out of the millions of stars and planets that are out there that we are the only form of intelligent life? I have trouble believing that is true.

The Story of Betty and Barney Hill: The very first documented alien abduction case to date. The story of the Hill’s abduction came out in the early 1960’s. The Hill’s were an interracial couple in a time when such things were frowned upon. Their willingness to take a chance and allow themselves to be scrutinized not only for their story, but also for their life style, showed how important they felt their decision was.

The Brooklyn Bridge Abduction:  By experts, called one of the most important abduction cases of all time. Before this case was brought to light, many believed that alien abductions just happened to a few people with no witnesses. This case showed how alien abductions happen even in the most populated of areas…..With surprising results.

The Story of Travis Walton: A fairly well known story that the movie Fire in the Sky was based off of. Though it only involved the abduction of a single person, the abduction was witnessed by others. The validity of this story has been questioned off and on for years now, but the story as a whole still remains intact.

The Story of Antonio Villas Boas: An interesting story that involves a new twist to the alien abduction phenomenon. Though it predates the story of Betty and Barney Hill, the story was not brought to light until some time later after the Hill’s case came out. A very interesting read.

The Story of Betty Andreasson: A somewhat common alien abduction story, except for the fact that the incident happened in front of a large family. Much has been done and tried in order to disprove this incident ever happened, but to date, the case is still open.

The Story of the Alagash Four: Another fairly well known alien abduction case. This case has been mentioned numerous times on the Unsolved Mysteries television program. It basically involves the abduction and subsequent scrutiny of four individuals.

The Story of the Pascagoula Abduction: A fairly basic alien abduction story in terms of the incidents involved in the abduction case. What is somewhat unusual in this case is the shear amount of publicity and coverage that this story got at the time from those within UFO circles. Excerpts of interviews of the men can be heard on site.

The major thing I learned by doing this project is that the idea of an alien abduction and what is involved in the stories of alien abductions goes much deeper than many believe. Abductions can happen to anyone. You. Me. Anyone. Which is slightly terrifying if you think about it. But one must believe the idea of an alien abduction is true before falling into some sort of scared state. If anything, this project hopes to show you how believable an abduction story can be, and let you decided for yourself whether we are alone or not.
