When Virginia looked up from the cards, I knew the reading was over. There was nothing more for her to show me. The Wild West legends had spoken, and it was all up to me now. When I left the tent that day, I was a different person. I knew I would never be afraid of my dream again. Thanks to Billy the Kid, Calamity Jane, Sitting Bull, and Wyatt Earp, I knew I could live by my own rules. They taught me that life is an open range and we only get one chance to ride it. Besides, the stories I wanted to tell were their stories and those of so many like them. I knew then that the stories of the Wild West needed to be told forever, and I was going to do my part.
