Jeep Liberty
The Jeep Liberty is a great small size SUV
The Jeep Liberty is a successor to one of America's original SUV's, the Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep Liberty is tough off the road thanks to it's independent front/coil-link rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. It is a small SUV with four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive. It can be bought in a standard model with little extras or loaded with features in the Liberty Limited Model with a sunroof, an Infinity sound system, leather trim, heated seats, hands-free cell phone connectivity, side curtain airbags, a navigation system, satellite radio, and powered seats.
Jeep Liberty has been on the market since 2002. It has a 3.7 -liter V6 gasoline engine with 210 -horsepower. Buyers may choose six-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic. Other options include either rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive models. The 4 WD system is equipped with low-range gearing to improve the vehicle's off-roading ability.
Edmunds.com says, "in reviews and road test, our editors have found the Jeep Liberty to be well suited for compact-SUV buyers who really want to venture off road." Their Jeep Liberty Reviews also say that if this is strictly a purchase for urban driving with no off-road driving then you might want to consider Liberty's car-based competition as better for day-to-day town driving.
If your seriously considering purchasing a Jeep Liberty make sure and test drive it on road and off road. You can find lots of pricing information on Edmunds.com to help you negotiate for the best deal.
