All the above sources were used in pretty much the same way: gathering
of background information for the story and characters.
The greatest changes I made to the original myth of the Dragon's Pearl
are thus:
Xiao Sheng is now a girl instead of the original boy
Kinabalu, the name of the dragon, was taken from a different myth, the
legend of Wee Ping and Wee San, because the original myth left the
dragon nameless
