Where is Wonderland? How do
you get there? Was it all a dream? Well,
your first question should be 'who am I?' Do not worry, I will fill you
in! I am Auntie Lulu, Alice's aunt, and just like you I want to know
firsthand if Alice's story of Wonderland is true. Alice is such a cute
and smart little girl that she can be quite believable, but something
about this Wonderland adventure is so surreal. Just earlier, Alice came
over for tea to tell me about how she fell down a rabbit hole while
chasing a white rabbit. Alice said it was the longest fall she had ever
had and was not sure if it would ever stop, but it did. At the end of
her fall she found herself in a place she called Wonderland. In
Wonderland Alice met such silly and mad people. As Alice told me of her
adventure, I could hardly believe my ears, so much so that I decided I
must
go there myself and confirm that this place and these acquaintances
exist.
Alice knew that I did not believe her
story, but that I could be swayed
easily with evidence, which is why Alice told me to visit Wonderland
myself and meet all these people. First, I should find and visit with
the white rabbit because Alice believes him to be the most sane of them
all. Right after I meet the rabbit, I will look for the caterpillar who
Alice claims smokes hookah, has short answers, and goes in circles
during conversations. Next, I will set out to find the Queen of Hearts
who is known to be easily angered and violent. While I visit Wonderland
I would like for you to follow along. I will keep you informed every
minute of the way! There will be four stories you shall hear.
In my first story, Auntie Lulu's Fall Down the Rabbit
Hole, I will tell you what happens
once I arrive in Wonderland. I will first search for the white rabbit.
Alice said he was not your typical white rabbit. According to Alice,
this white rabbit wore a waistcoat and kept a watch in the coat pocket
to keep time. Hopefully, the white rabbit can accompany me on my visit
in Wonderland.
In my second story, Auntie Lulu Meets Mr. Caterpillar,
I will go to see the
caterpillar Alice told me about in her story. Alice said this
caterpillar enjoys hookah and was really quite confusing. I have never
met a talking and smoking caterpillar, so it should be entertaining.
In my third story, Auntie Lulu's Rendezvous with the Cheshire
Cat, I
will set out to find the tea
party Alice spoke of in her story. Alice said the March Hare and the
Hatter should be at their house where they have tea parties often.
There will be a dormouse who is always sleeping and speaks of nonsense
while telling stories.
In my fourth story, The Queen of Hearts or the Queen of Tarts,
I will go to meet with
the Queen in her rose garden where she plays croquet. Here, I hope that
the Queen will show me some sort of hospitality and treat me as a royal
guest. That would be most desirable, but if her anger gets in the
way... I must watch out, or she will be off with my head! This will be
my final adventure, so I hope it is a good one.
