Introduction

My topic is Jason & the Argonauts. The story of Jason and the Golden Fleece is one of my all time favorites. When I younger, I saw the movie Jason and the Argonauts on TV. It was a very exciting movie. The movie was made in 1963 and uses a lot of clay-mation. In middle school, we studied Greek Mythology and we went over Jason and the Argonauts.
Jason started the out on the journey with hope of regaining his throne. The Voyage is test of Jason will to be king.  His Uncle, who stole the throne from his father will not give Jason the throne unless he brings back the Golden Fleece. Jason thought it would be a fantastic journey. His Uncle on the other hand had a different idea. He believed Jason would fail and never return. This story is a adventure of a man's willinginess to overcome obstacles. There were many trials and tribulations in which Jason would have to overcome if he would be able to succeed.
I choose to tell the stories with a different character in each story. The reason I choose to write the stories in this format is because it gives the reader a deeper understanding and allows more emotions to be expresed in the story.
The first story I told about Jason's beginnings. I told this story from Chiron's, the centaur, since he is the one who raised Jason after his father was imprisoned.  The second story would be about the start of the journey when the Argo sets sail. The story would be told from Hercules perspective. Since he is on the Argo, I want him to tell us what it is like being on the ship and his opinion of Jason as the Captain. The next story would be about the Harpies and the Clashing rocks. The King would be the best choice when telling the story of the Harpies and Clashing Rock, since he was the one who was being attacked. After Jason and the Argonauts helped him, he told them how to pass the Clashing Rocks. The fourth story would be about Jason and the Golden Fleece. This story would be told from Hera's perspective. She wanted to see Jason succeed in his quest. Without her help he would have never been able to retrieve the Golden Fleece. This final story would be about the return home to Iolcus. Medea was the woman who fell in love with Jason and was the main reason he was able to return home with the Golden Fleece. Her prespective would be crucial because she was directly effected by Jason actions after he returned home.
I really hope you enjoy the story of Jason & the Argonauts. It is a fantastic voyage. The writing style I choose will allow to understand Jason's journey better. This is a story that has been told for thousands of years and is still and adventure that leaves people wanting more. My version will leave you satified.
