Tel Fahar, the top and best defended hill. This picture is taken just around the bend, maybe 30 feet past the rusted half-track. Men walked up this hill and took it. The place is so peaceful now, but hearing Sharon describe what happened, I was seriously moved. The idea of just walking up this hill with a gun and actually trying to win was more than I had imagined, and I found a new respect for the bravery these men showed. The fact that they walked up the hill and won fills me with pride and joy.
