Next we did one of the coolest things. We got in rafts, and rafted the river Jordan. I found out later that people at Kfar Blum, among others, had expended considerable effort in straightening it out, which explained it's distinctly un-river-like quality, but the experience was still a blast. I was also one of the few people crazy and stupid enough to bring a camera into a raft with holes in the bottom. If you look carefully, we all found out the hard way that there were holes in the bottoms, Joel in the front of this raft is wet in just the right place. I of course wore my shoes because I thought they would be normal rafts, you know, without holes. At first we raced, but I soon came to the realization that it was possible I would not be rafting the Jordan any time soon, so the three of us just relaxed and sort of half paddled, mostly relaxed most of the way down.
