I attended the conservative service. The Rabbi knew we were there, and his service centered around how his home on the lower east side of New York was not his home anymore, now that he lived in Jerusalem he was Home. I understood what he said, I agreed with him, but for different reasons. Most of the people there spoke English, mostly from the US and Canada, very nice people. I was not in the mood to socialize and just wanted to go, still cranky from the walk. I got a hold of our group, blissfully devoid of our idiot staffer, grabbed the map, figured out where we were and mapped out the shortest route back. We did not get lost this time, and it felt good to get the group back to the hotel, considering how little I knew about Jerusalem geography. The route happened to cut through the center, past the Kinesset and museums and such. This is a rose garden we happened to pass, a delight considering we were simply on the most direct route back.
