Fallen Kings
IRC Untouchables successfully dethroned The Teutons 6-0, but
are now endanger of falling to the Stellar Crusaders as it's now all
6 Crusaders vs Ah, Alexia, and BigB.

Boom Baby!
IRC Untouchables score first blood when Smurfs nukes out Mighty
Kimmen on update 15.
June 1, 2002
The End is Now
Team Lair unsuccessfully defended their title. The Teutons next
defend against former champions IRC Untouchables.
May 5, 2002
The Big Bang
In the battle of the captains Eikoor of The Teutons was nuked out
on update 11 by Wretch of Team Lair. Can The Teutons strike back? Only
time will tell.
May 5, 2002
New name, new faces
Team M.A.S.T.E.R., having replaced half the team, has changed the
team name to The Teutons. New members are Firren (in for Misfit), Cruel
Running (in for STELLARWORLD), and Mighty Kimmen (in for ROADRUNNER).
May 1, 2002
Ya gotta have FAAAAIIITH!!!
Stellar Kings poll shows that a shocking 77% of the public lacks
faith in Team Lair to successfully defend their crown against Team M.A.S.T.E.R.
May 1, 2002
Rollin'. Rollin'. Rollin' back down the river.
Rollbacks(rewinds) abound in early stages of the Stellar Kings
match.
From Lair HQ Captain Wretch reports:
The initial exploration phase has found all players
being contacted by someone. Lair has discovered 3 M.A.S.T.E.R. homeworlds
while they have explored 2 Lair homeworlds. They have a slight econ
advantage 29 to 26. One M.A.S.T.E.R. player is isolated and probably
in short term
trouble, the same goes for two Lair players.
In the long run it appears M.A.S.T.E.R. has the advantage of more Trade
agreements. During the past update there were some server problems but
I think it probably broke even, with rollbacks bothering Lair more than
M.A.S.T.E.R. because of the time difference. Kia broadcast a warning and
there was a notice
at SC Club.
April 18, 2002
Another day, Another game.
And the new game is on pitting the current Stellar Kings, Stellar
Crisis Lair versus a team who could easily have won the first ever Stellar
Kings title, Team M.A.S.T.E.R.
April18, 2002
Hail the conquering heroes!
Stellar Crisis Lair makes history by becoming the first team
to successfully defend the Stellar Kings title by defeating The Underdogs
who were heavily favored to win the match in the Stellar Kings poll.
Congratulations to our repeat Kings.
February 25, 2002
What's that smell?
Something's burning...
From Lair HQ Captain Wretch reports:
Krishna Babes has been obliterated.
Three Lair Systems nuked. One Lair fleet smashed, one
Underdog fleet smashed.
February 18, 2002
Battle cries and woes
From Lair HQ Captain Wretch reports:
Crap! The Lair was
soundly defeated on all fronts. Lair was on the attack and
lost all the battles... Time to regroup... sigh
February 16, 2002
First Blood?
From Lair HQ Captain Wretch reports:
Lair draws first blood with Sizm nuking
an Andromeda builder. The game has come down to 2 vs 2, 2 vs 2, and 2
vs 2 on three fronts.
February 12, 2002
3, 2, 1, Liftoff!
With the recent events and posts on the SC Club regarding
the Tournament, I have been prompted to implement an idea I had.
And so I'm proud to announce the launch of the
Stellar Kings Complaint Department
. And I would also like to remind everyone that we do this
free of charge, and this is just a game so LAUGH AND HAVE FUN DAMMIT!
January 30, 2002
Never give up, Never surrender!
I'm not sure who said it Churchill or Tim Allen, but
all I can say is Damn Straight!
From Lair HQ Captain Wretch reports:
AtomAnt, Kia and Ottowan Empire launched
an attack and Private Eye announced he would surrender rather than
be nuked. With 48 hours, there is plenty of time to talk him out
of it. Meanwhile, Krishna Babes, Kaws22 and GateKeeper are sending a
major fleet to nuke Ottowan Empire. It may succeed but Lair has hope
of saving him. The Sizm and Andromeda are going one
on one. We was gone for the weekend, which turned into a long weekend,
so he missed his update.
Captain Wretch
January 21, 2002
New Home
Well seeing as that "other" tournament, the ISCL, had
it's own server, Andy decided to host ANOTHER server and we now have
a new home and a place to play our games. Please use the new
Stellar Kings
server only for practice 6v6 games and the REAL deal.
January 21, 2002
Long break
Don't even start! I'm busy what can I say? Congratulations
to the new Stellar Kings, Stellar Crisis Lair, who are already defending
their title against The Underdogs, yes that's right The Underdogs!
November 25, 2001
It's the end of the world as we know it
R.E.M. had it right. Say goodbye to the current Kings,
Stellar Crusaders. They're down to 2 players as BackStabber was
just nuked out on update 44.
November 8, 2001
It's so easy to nuke someone
Yet another Crusader falls to the SC Lair hordes.
praxis, in a game of monkey in the middle, was nuked out of the game
on update 31. When asked how they did it, team captain Wretch said,
"Well you just gotta go out there and give 110%. Ya gotta play good,
and your teammates gotta play good. And yeah givin' 110% and playin
good is how we did it."
Simply stunning...
November 2, 2001
The Lair Strikes Back
It is a time of unrest in the Stellar Kings. Just
when the Rebel Crusaders thought they had brought the game within
reach LifeIncarnate struck, eliminating Damascus from the battle.
October 26, 2001
The game is afoot...
In a shocking turn of events, The
Sizm was nuked out of the Stellar Kings match on update 20. It would
appear that this is still either team's game, as each are down
to 5 players.
October 25, 2001
First Blood
Reports are sketchy, but... Yes
it has been confirmed... From the middle of an intense battlefield we
have received word that Stellar Crisis Lair has scored first blood
by nuking out the leader of the Stellar Crusaders, MastrHavoc, on update
19.
October 18, 2001
Crusaders are on the ropes
From the battlefield,
Wretch reports:
A gigantic builder of Ares is torched
by The Sizm. MastrHavoc goes for a monster overbuild as Kia
uncloaks in his homeworld, smashing his new fleet to bits. Meanwhile,
a mine goes off in Praxis' homeworld as desperation sets in....
September 26, 2001
Team Stellar Crisis Lair take on The Stellar
Crusaders
Game 3 of the Stellar
Kings team challenge will begin September 26, 2001 on the Lugdunum
server. This promises to be quite a barn burner.
September 26,
2001
New Heir to the throne
Stellar Crusaders have
downed the Kings IRC Untouchables in 38 updates in the first title
defense of the Challenge. When asked for a quote Crusaders, BackStabber
and Damascus had this to say:
BackStabber's impression of Keys to
Victory:
a) Outstanding team communication
by all members
b) Early departure of Aztec
c) Survival of both Damascus (outnumbered
at front) and Havoc (weakened by effort in getting the nuke)
Damascus: To this, I would have to add d) map
edge.
Our team definitely had the map
edge in that we were all linked to each other, while Dag was out
in the cold, closer to myself and Praxis than any of his team members.
Aztec also had the most unfortunate position of all, and no play of
his could really stop him from being nuked, and nuked early.
The other team put on a great
job of applying the pressure, in particular BigB going after Havoc realising
that he had the tech edge after Aztec had died, but when that failed,
it was really a matter of us using our econ edge to slowly apply pressure
until something broke.
With all due respect to my team,
I hope we don't have the bad end of a map like that this weekend
:), and well played to the ex-kings!
July 22, 2001
The Stellar Crusaders take on The Untouchables
Game 2 of the Stellar
Kings team challenge will begin July 23, 2001 on the Falcon server.
This promises to be another good game.
July 22, 2001
The Untouchables win the Stellar Kings
crown by defeating team M.A.S.T.E.R. on update 66
Predator
reports:
The game was finished on update 66 as
the Voyager dealt team M.A.S.T.E.R. the final lethal blow by
nuking out the idle Stellarworld. It was a close and tense game
up to about update 28 or so, when The Untouchables gained the
upper hand in the region north of Dirtroad - Roadkill, which lead to
the deadly assault that finished off Roadrunner. At that point,
the game was pretty well all over, as Eikoor was losing ground fast to
Voyager.
As far as most valuable player of
the game, I would have to say it was Sir Dagonet, for his survival
against several serious assaults in the center of the map.
His survival was crucial to The Untouchables winning the game.
July 13, 2001
Cannibalism erupts as STELLARWORLD scores
team M.A.S.T.E.R.'s second nuke of the match
From a chaotic
battlefield, Predator reports:
“Its a real mess out here! The battle
was reaching its peak about 7 updates ago as The Untouchables
continued to advance their front lines. Then all of a sudden
we were not spotting the enemy anymore, which was real odd. The next
up Skudder surrendered, and there were Misfit colony ships loaded
with hungry little misfits floating around all over the galaxy, it
was pure chaos. We were really confused for an update or so.
As Misfit continued to grow, Voyager
finished off Eikoor in the west, posting The Untouchable flag
on Eikoor's home world.
Then in another bizarre turn of
events, Misfit surrendered, leaving the mighty STELLARWORLD, the lone ranger
from Texas, to take the ultimate stand against the relentless assault of
5 mighty Untouchable empires. I have to hand it to STELLAR, he is mighty
brave.
STELLARWORLD scored the next nuke
by taking over the remains of Misfit, his first nuke of the
game, and a well deserved one. I just hope that we can get to the
other M.A.S.T.E.R. empires' home worlds before STELLARWORLD does,
it will be an uphill battle to say the least from here on for The
Untouchables, and for crying out loud, there is no telling what those
STELLAR forces might do if they get there first.
June 28, 2001
Roadrunner gets run over
Sir Dagonet
reports:
Today is the day that Roadrunner was forced
to leave the current game. The Untouchables are now sitting
by the campfire enjoying BBQ Roadrunner and singing songs by
the light of the stars. You ever hear BigB sing? Trust me, it is
not a sound you ever wanna hear again. The game continues now as a
5 on 4......
June 21, 2001
New practice game underway
Captain
Wretch reports:
Our challenge was answered by the
Stellar Harbingers
. The game is starting at Falcon with one rule change by mutual
agreement - the updates will be at 48 hours.
June 21, 2001
The Stellar Crusaders vs The Underdogs
From the
battlefield, Kaws22 reports:
In a practice game on the Promethius Server
featuring The
Stellar Crusaders vs
The Underdogs .
Stars began to shine brightly for The Underdogs on update 9. Simultaneously
Private Eye and Gatekeeper nuked Backstabber and MastrHavoc out
of the game. Turns out GateKeeper got a lucky nuke of Backstabber
because he caught him in the middle of a pop trick with a science
ship. The games 6-4 now and looking very promising for The Underdogs.
Cheers!!
June 20, 2001
Action heats up on the front
From the
battlefield, Predator reports:
At this point, the game is basically playing
out on 2 fronts: on the western front its Voyager vs Eikoor,
and on the eastern front its Roadrunner/Misfit/Skudder/Stellarworld
vs BigB/Sir Dagonet/Aztec Empire/Predator. The eastern front saw
a lot of action the last few updates, as the Untouchables showed up
in full force, nuking 3 Roadrunner builders and pushing the front further
into enemy territory, while exploring the Roadrunner homeworld.
On the western front, Voyager nuked
an Eikoor builder, giving him a 17 to 13 econ lead.
June 11, 2001
The Stellar Crisis Lair looking for a
challenge game
Captain
Wretch reports:
The Stellar Crisis Lair challenges any
team to a practice 6 on 6 at Falcon. We have already created the
game according to the Stellar Crisis Kings specifications. We await
your reply at
jakey@pacbell.net
or drop by:

Relg nuked out in Stellar Kings challenge
match
From the
battlefield, Predator reports:
The center of action continued to be the
Sir Dagonet & Relg region of space. Combined forces of Voyager,
Sir Dagonet and Aztec Empire continued to assault Relg's homeworld.
Realizing that he had no hope, Relg made one last effort to nuke
out Sir Dagonet with Eikoor's help, but BigB and Predator defended
as the Untouchables put on their shades to watch the Relg homeworld
light up.
This makes the game now a 5 vs 5
game, with tensions now building on the Sir Dagonet / Roadrunner
border. Meanwhile Relg's demise leaves Eikoor cut off to the
west.
June 6, 2001
HeLLSpawN nuked out in Stellar Kings practice
game
From the
battlefield, Damascus reports:
Cap'n Dan weaves his wonderful magic,
and on the 14th update Hellspawn goes nova. The Crusaders now
have a 6 on 5 edge, and the game starts to look very ominous for
the Marauders.
The Stellar Crusaders
are currently playing the
IRC Marauders in
a practice game. The Stellar Crusaders are next in line to fight
for the Stellar Kings crown.
May 31, 2001
From the
battlefield, Eikoor reports:
Smurf was doomed from the start. Surrounded
by three enemies he vainly tried to establish a builder south
of his HW that was nuked right after becoming a builder. A small
fleet from
STELLARWORLD followed by ships
from Misfit
and Skudder
were his final downfall. Constant pressure from Misfit
and Skudder, and a small amount of help from STELLARWORLD allowed
them time to overbuild without letting the pressure on Smurfs to
let up, was too much to overcome and Smurf's people had no choice
but to succumb to their fate.
May 30, 2001
After 17 updates of fighting,
Smurfs
of the team "The Untouchables" has been obliterated
by the deadly
Skudder , giving team "M.A.S.T.E.R."
a 6 to 5 empire lead. The game remains focused around the center
of the map, where Sir Dagonet just survived a second onslaught
of his homeworld, this time by a 17 ship Roadrunner fleet. However,
trouble is brewing for Relg.
May 13, 2001
Added a new menu called "
Teams
", listing all the challengers in order. There
will be some great matches coming up.
May 9, 2001
The first challenge has officially begun.
As of the start of the game, the opinion poll is favouring the Yahoo
team 26-13, and perhaps after seeing Skudder for the first time
in the game section
, I can see why.
May 7, 2001
The teams have been set for the first challenge
game. Representing the IRC chatroom are
Aztec Empire, BigB, Predator, Sir Dagonet, Smurfs & Voyager.
Representing the Yahoo Club are
Eikoor, Misfit, Relg, Roadrunner, Skudder & Stellarworld.
The game will commence shortly, so
stay tuned, given the history, this promises to be a bloody one.
May 2, 2001
A game section has been added to track ongoing
game progress along with game comments and other related information.
Apr 28, 2001
The Stellar Kings Team Challenge is gearing
up for its opening challenge game. The two contenders will be
a team assembled from each of the Stellar Crisis IRC Chat Room
"regulars" and the Stellar Crisis Yahoo Club "regulars", to be announced
shortly. The winner
will become the very first team to wear the Stellar Kings Crown
, the loser will go down in burning flames and humiliation
as the challenge's first victim, and join the ranks of the weak
and defeated.
Stay tuned for ongoing updates, comments and game action.
Also, applications to become a contender to The Stellar Kings
Team Challenge are now being accepted,
