Using just three colors, the assignment was to create a visually appealing calendar following themes for every month provided by the client. The following months are shown at right:
JANUARY.fasta pasta
FEBRUARY.the china syndrome
MARCH.something fishy
APRIL.bean frugal
My goal was to create sophisticated pages with depth of color; I did this by using hand-rendered patterns with transparencies and layers of my three chosen colors paired with a simple layout. For added surprise, I die cut the letters of the months on monthly cover pages, complete with tear-out recipe cards on the other side.
