As an exercise not only in web design but in appropriate design for a specific topic, I designed a simple website for a collection of Native American Art. I chose a strong, bold typeface on a white field for the branding of the name of the collection, and kept the rest of the design, in order to make the artwork as important as possible.
A strict grid of squares with easy navigation makes viewing the images easy, the visual impact clean, and the system editable.
