My storybook is based on the stories from the Book of Genesis of the Holy Bible.  Genesis is the first book in the Bible.  I chose this book because it contains many popular short stories.  Just naming a few stories, Genesis contains the story of the creation, the first humans in the world (Adam and Eve), and the famous Noah's Ark.

Although there are many translations out there for the Holy Bible, I have decided to use the King James Version which was completed in the year 1611. I chose this translation of the Bible because it not too modernized like the NIV version, and not too hard to understand.

To retell the stories from Genesis, I will be using both the Devil and an Angel to argue with one another to persuade a young college student.  The student is stressing out and wonders if he should go to church or not during his valuable weekend.  The Devil comes and tells the student to forget about God by tempting the student.  The Angel comes soon after to counter the Devil's reasons and tells him to follow the almighty God instead.  The Devil and the Angel will retell the stories from Genesis from their own point of view to spice up the story a little bit.

The story I will be using first will be the creation of the world.  The Angel will retell this story to the young student to show the greatness of God.  The Angel will argue that the student should go to church and learn more about the greatness of God.

The second story I am going to retell from the book of Genesis is the story of Adam and Eve and how they first sinned against God by eating the Forbidden Fruit.  In my retelling, the Devil will tell in his perspective how eating the Forbidden Fruit has benefited everyone in the world.  The Devil will tell the student to play and enjoy his weekend since Adam and Eve have given everyone knowledge to have fun.

I will be telling about the story of Adam and Eve's first sons, Cain and Abel, in my third story.  If the student refuses to have fun, the Devil will use the example of Cain and Abel to tell the student that he needs to think about his future during his valuable weekend. He will explain that going to Church will only interfere with his success later on in life.  The Devil tells the student that success comes by trampling on other people who are more successful than he is, like how Cain killed his brother Abel.

Finally, in my fourth story, I will do a retelling about the Ark of Noah.  In this retelling, the Angel will argue that God is all-powerful, and that at any time he can flood the world once more, but because of his grace he is sparing everyone from complete destruction.  The Angel argues that the least thing the student can do is to go to church and try to get closer to God.
