The University of Oklahoma provides for its students a Writing Center. If you would like help with your pre-writing, organizing, documenting sources, or revising of other aspects of an assignment, make an appointment for a free 45-minute conference with a Writing Center consultant by calling 325-2936. Do not wait until the last minute before a paper is due to call. Do it early so you will have time to rethink and revise. These people will not write your paper for you, nor will they "pre-grade" it. This is a full service writing center that helps you critically construct, rethink, revise, and (re)write your essays. The Writing Center is located in the Physical Sciences building, room 209. I offer extra credit to those who utilize the Writing Center. Ten points for micro essays, one time only. Twenty Points for MACRO essays, up to twice -- an initial visit and a follow-up visit. These extra credit points shall not count against the limit of one event per week on extra credit. |
