Course Description

Introduction to Literature concentrates on close readings of works of fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and drama. The readings are drawn from periods ancient to modern and vary in origins: American, Native American, British, African, and others. Important characteristics of academic discourse addressed in English 2413 include analyzing and interpreting the materials.
