For the presentations, students may consider any of the authors we covered in class, but a different story or aspect of the author other than what was previously covered.  Any of the stories/authors that were scratched from the reading list may also be presented.  Here are some other topics.

Symbolism (an example is in Prufrock by TS Eliot)

The origin and purpose of the Pulitzer Prize for Literature.

The "reality" television craze, especially in relation to the Realist movement in literature.

Shape Poetry

True Crime stories

"Local Color" stories

Native American myths (creation, why, trickster)

Any theme or movement in literature.

Write a short drama, a simple play of about 5 - 7 minutes duration.  If you choose this creative option, you are responsible for for obtaining your own actors, props, and music.
