Welcome to Homemaking University--a learning center for several varied aspects involved in the profession of homemaking. Homemaking is a unique career that encompasses the talents of many careers such as:

Psychology	Resource Management	Recreation
Nursing	Interior Decorating	Child Development
Gardening	Property Maintenance	Personnel Relations

As a full-time professional homemaker of 21 years I have often thought how wonderful it would be if homemakers received pay for using all these talents! Some professional full-time homemakers work outside their own home for others and do receive pay for their work. Others, fortunate enough to have another breadwinner in the home, choose only to receive fulfillment in training and raising children to become what they believe are well-adjusted, productive future citizens of their communities. There are also full-time homemakers without the added job of being a parent.

Whatever the goal may be, a homemaker's training is never done. Both full-time and part-time homemakers find that there is always one more skill to learn, one more skill to perfect or research to be done. The purpose of Homemaking University is to facilitate those homemakers who are constantly searching to improve or add to their knowledge in this very rewarding career field.
