Meanwhile back in the palace the king was planning a ball.  This ball was to have every single maiden in the kingdom so the prince could find a wife.  Cinderella got the invitation and shared it with her stepmother and stepsisters.  Everyone was excited about this.  Cinderella asked if she too could go.  Her stepmother says laughing, “If you get all your chores done, after you help you sisters get ready and if you can find something to wear.”
Cinderella ran to her room to find her mother’s old dress that she wanted to fix up so she can go to the ball.  As she started to fix her dress, her sisters called upon her to do their commands.  The mice saw Cinderella doing all these chores and realized that she would not have time to fix the dress so they decide to fix the dress for her.  They went off and got the things they needed.  They got them from the stuff that the two stepsisters had thrown away.
After getting her stepmother and two stepsisters ready for the ball Cinderella found that she had not had time to fix her dress.  Her stepmother noticed this and asked why she was not dressed.   Almost in tears Cinderella replied, “I’m not going.”  This made her two sisters laugh.  Heart broken she ran to her room and found the mice and birds fixed her dress.  Cinderella quickly put it on and ran down to catch her mother leaving.  The stepsisters, shocked to see that Cinderella used their stuff to fix her dress, then they tore the dress apart.  Cinderella ran out to the garden.
In the garden her fairy godmother showed up.  She helped Cinderella out by making a carriage out of pumpkin and by making her the most beautiful dress with glass slippers.  Her godmother informed her that she had to be back by midnight because that is when things would go back to normal.  After this warning she rushed to the ball.Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, the coach, and friendsCinderella getting ready for the ball.

The prince decided that he would marry only the one who fits the slipper.
His servant went to all the houses in the kingdom and tried it on every girl’s foot.  When he got to Cinderella’s house he started to try it on the two stepsisters.  Her stepmother locked Cinderella in her room because she was suspected that she was the girl at the ball.  In tears that she would lose her chance at trying on the slipper, she didn't know that the mice had gotten the key to unlock the door for her.
The prince’s servant was about to leave when Cinderella came down the stairs.  The servant rushed to try the slipper on her, because it did not fit her two stepsisters.  While rushing to her the servant was tripped by the stepmother and the shoe breaks.  The servant freaked out because he didn'tknow how  he was going to find the women who fits the glass slipper.  To comfort the servant Cinderella said not to worry because she had the other slipper.  Cinderella  then married  the prince and they lived happily ever after.
