A long time ago there lived a mermaid princess
named Ariel. She longed for the human world so much that she surfaced
many a times. Her father did not know of this, for if he found out
he would punish her.
She was so fascinated by the humans that she
would go to old sunken ships and collect all the things that were left
in the wreckage. To find out what those thing were she would go to
her friend Scully the seagull.
One day Ariel was out swimming the surface
of the ocean when she came upon a ship. On board the ship there was
a prince and his shipmates. They were celebrating the Prince’s birthday.
When Ariel saw the prince she fell in love. All of a sudden a storm
hit the ship and tore it to pieces. Much to Ariel's horror she saw
the Prince fall under the sea. She swam as

fast as she could to save him.
Ariel sang to the prince until someone found him. The Prince
woke up and all he could remember was the voice of an angel.
All Ariel could think about when she returned
to the sea was the Prince. When she got back her father found out
that she saved a human. He was so mad that he forbade her to ever
go to the surface again. Heart- broken, she swam off to the sea witch
Ursula. The sea witch changed Ariel into a human for the price of
her voice. Ariel had three days to get the Prince to kiss her or
she would have to give herself to Ursula.
The Prince found her on the beach; he tried
to talk to her but she could not speak. The Prince then took Ariel
to his palace. The next day the Prince took Ariel on a tour of his
kingdom and then they went on a romantic boat ride. Just as they
were about to kiss Ursula’s evil eels tipped the boat over.

Seeing how close the two were getting she came
up with a plan to break them up. Ursula disguised herself as a beautiful
woman. She walked along the beach with Ariel’s voice in a shell around
her neck. The instant the Prince heard the voice he fell in love
with the woman and announced the next day that they would be married on
his ship.
While getting ready for the wedding Scully
found out that the woman the prince was to marry was Ursula. A flock
of seagulls came to help stop the wedding. One bird broke the shell around
Ursula’s neck and Ariel’s voice was returned to her. The Prince knew
that Ariel was the one he loved. But it was too late. Ariel
was turned back into a mermaid and Ursula snatched her and took her back
to the sea. The Prince fought Ursula and killed her.
Ariel was so unhappy that she was without
her Prince. Her father saw this and he knew that he had to do some
thing. He gave up his daughter of the sea and turned her into a human.

Later Ariel and the Prince were married and they lived happily ever
