| The Great Wall of China might
conjure up images of long ago struggles, walls of stone winding through
mountains and plains, or as a symbol of the strength and resilience of the
Chinese people. Peoples who have for a long time survived much like their
Wall through invasion and political turmoil - their Wall stands like an
immortal beacon.
Considered by some to be one the Wonders of the World, the Great Wall of China is physically huge extending from Korea to the plains of Mongolia. If the Wall could be stretched out and all of its pieces strung end-to-end, the Wall would reach from southern Texas to the North Pole. |
