The colony is
in need of initiation robes for the colony, but
unfortunately the they do not have the resources to
purchase them. We currently only have a few black
robes, but would like to acquire enough for each member
and guests during initiation.
The
Alumni Board of Trustees is sponsoring the opportunity
for you to buy a robe for the colony. For each robe
purchased, we will have your name and class year
embroidered on the robe, or the name and year of another
brother of your choice. Hopefully, this tradition of
embroidered names on all new robes will continue on for
many years as graduating seniors purchase robes or
donate their graduating robe. As you can see from the
graphic that we chose to honor Ray Kimball ’30, (who was
the first ‘A’ of the Oklahoma Chapter in 1927) as our
first robe.
The next scheduled initiation for the colony’s Epsilon Class and Alumni
Ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 pm on April 22nd.
This will follow the alumni gathering at the Kimball
Classic Golf Tournament scheduled for 10:00 am. Our
goal is to have at least 35 robes purchased by that
time. Each robe is $40.00 and will be counted in the
Oklahoma
Alumni Giving Club (this gift is not
considered tax-deductible by the IRS). Please

Initiation and Alumni Ceremony |
 |
All alumni
are invited to attend initiation. It is worth the
time and effort to see and hear the ceremony, especially
if it has been several years.
In 1985,
the Oklahoma Chapter developed a graduation ceremony to
help in the transition of student members to the status
of alumnus. In 1990, the International Fraternity
combined the Oklahoma ceremony with graduation
ceremonies from another chapter and another fraternity
into what is now our official Alumni Ceremony.
This ceremony is the third step
towards fully understanding the values of Delta Chi and
your new role as a supporter and mentor for future
generations of Delta Chi brothers. You will receive a
lapel pin (pictured left) and a membership card. The
$25.00 fee will benefit the International Fraternity’s
alumni relations.

22nd following the Kimball Classic Golf Tournament that
