Once upon a time, there was a little girl who has a very cute and lovely face. Everyone liked her. Her mother gave her a little red cap. The little girl loved it very much so she wore it everyday. People called her "Little Red-Cap."

One day, Little Red-Cap's grandmother was sick. Little Red-Cap made a cakes and a bottle of wine for the grandmother. Little Red-Cap's mother asked Little Red-Cap to bring those cakes and wine to her grandmother. Little Red-Cap's mother also told Little Red-Cap to walk nicely and not to run off the path.

Little Red-Cap's grandmother lived behind a forest, so Little Red-Cap must go through the forest before arriving her grandmother's house. Little Red-Cap listened to her mother's words and walked nicely. She did not know there was a wolf started staring at her since she walked into the forest. The wolf went to talk to Little Red-Cap.

"Good morning, Little Red-Cap," the wolf said.

"Good morning, wolf." Little Red-Cap replied politely with a very sweet smile.

"Where are you going, Little Red-Cap?" the wolf asked

"I am going to bring a cake and a bottle of wine to my grandmother who is living behind the forest. She is sick now." Little Red-Cap answered.

"Your grandmother must be very happy to have such good granddaughter." the wolf said.

"Thank you, wolf." Little Red-Cap said with even more sweet smile.

"This girl looks very sweet. I am sure she tastes the same." The wolf thought.

"Look at such beautiful flowers around. Why don't you take one for you grandmother. I am sure she would be pleased." The wolf said.

Little Red-Cap raised her eyes and when she saw many beautiful flowers with different colors growing everywhere, she agreed the wolf's ideas. She ran from the path into the wood to take flowers. She wanted to take one for every color. She went deeper and deeper into the wood.

The wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked the door.

"Who is there?" the grandmother asked.

"It is Little Red-Cap." the wolf imitated the voice of Little Red-Cap to reply.

"Just come in. The door is unlocked. I am too weak to get up now." the grandmother replied.

The wolf went into the house and saw the grandmother was laying in the bed. He went to the bed and devoured her immediately. Then he dressed up in the grandmother's cap. He laid in bed and covered his face with a blanket.

Little Red-Cap picked one flower for every color. Then she ran to her grandmother's house.  She knocked the door.

"Who is there?" the wolf  imitated the grandmother's voice to ask.

"This is Little Red-Cap." Little Red-Cap replied. She could tell the voice of her grandmother's voice was different but she thought it might be caused by the illness.

"Just come in. The door is unlocked. I am too weak to get up now." the wolf  imitated the grandmother's voice to reply.

Little Red-Cap opened the door and walked to side of the bed.

"Good morning. I brought you a cake and a bottle of wine, grandmother." Little Red-Cap said.

The wolf sprang out from the bed and devoured Little Red-Cap. He felt sleepy after eating a big meal. He fell asleep in the grandmother's bed.

A hunter passed by the grandmother's house and saw the door standing open. He looked into the house. He saw a wolf with very big belly was sleeping in the bed. He suspected the wolf had just eaten someone. He used a pair of scissors to cut open the wolf's stomach. When he did two snips, Little Red-Cap jumped out from the stomach of the wolf.

"Thank god. I am here now. It was so scary inside." Little Red-Cap cried.

She pulled her grandmother out of the stomach of the wolf. Her grandmother was still alive but scarcely able to breath. Little Red-Cap thanked the hunter for saving them. The hunter bought the wolf away.

Since this experience Little Red-Cap did not run off the path anymore.

******************************************************* THE END *******************************************************

I kept the story close to the original one. I left out two parts. I did not talk about the ending of Little Red-Cap put stones into the wolf's stomach and sew it. The wolf woke up and tried to run but the stones were too heavy that he fell down death. I also left out the part of how Little Red-Cap ran into another wolf. The wolf was trying to eat Little Red-Cap and her grandmother. Little Red-Cap and her grandmother used tricks to kill the wolf. I omitted these two parts because I want to keep my story as kids' story as what I did on the previous three stories. I don't want to mention the part of how the wolfs were killed in my story.
The story of Little Red-Cap similar to the story of Little Match Girl. They both do not involve any romantic elements. However, Little Red-Cap was saved at the end but Little Match Girl was dead at the end.
