My Storybook is about stories with girls as the
main character. I will retell the classic stories of The Little
Match Girl, Little Red Cap, Cinderella and Snow White. These four
stories were my favorite stories when I was a kid. I always hoped that
I could be one of the girls among Cinderella nd Snow White,
So I am going to make my own version of
these stories and I plan to
change tthe Little Match Girl into happy stories.
I think I will add couple
new characters in these four stories.
Snow White and Little Red Cap were written by Grimm, Jacob and Whilhelm
in 1884. The
original story of Snow White was ended by the death of Snow White's
evil stepmother,
however, the ending of Disney version is the the price saved the Snow
White by kissing her and they lived together happily.
Little Match Girl was written by a Danish
author Hans Christian Andersen.
This is a sad story. The little girl ended up frozen to death
in the street.
Since I don't want the match girl to die so I am
planning to change both stories into happy one.
Cinderella is one of the most famous kid stories in the world. There
are many different version of Cinderella, the most recognizable
differences between different versions are with fairy godmother and
without fairy godmother. The earliest version comes from China in the
middle of the ninth century A.D., there is no fairy godmother.
The most popular version is the Gimm Brothers' German version, it does
not have fairy godmother too, it has some magical helpers.
I think Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella have some
similar backgrounds among these four stores. Both Snow White and
Cinderella had an evil stepmother that treated them very bad. The
stepmother of Snow White wanted to kill her and the stepmother of
Cinderella treated her as a maid. They both have someone to help them
in the stories. Snow White had seven dwarfs to help her and Cinderella
had some magical helpers to help her to the party. Both of them ended
up living happily with their prince. Comparing to Cinderella, Snow
White was less unlucky because her stepmother tried to kill her 3
times, fortunately, she was saved at the end.
