Alive, Still kicking...Still Sooners

Still alive, Still kicking...Still Sooners Somedays your best just
isn't good enough. Last Saturday, the OUDL (and the Pride) sent
a detachment to College Station to cheer the team against the Aggies.
While the OUDL was not at full strength, they did make a point to
play on every defensive down possible and do what they could. Despite
several setbacks during the game we had faith right up until A&M
came up with the game-clinching interception. And, after a ten hour
bus ride back to Norman, we still have that faith. Now more than
ever the OUDL will be there for the team, cheering every play and
every player. The indomitable spirt of OU was apparent when the
team came off the field for the last time in front of the fans that
traveled all the way from Norman. Each player that left the field
heard the sound of applause as the Sooner faithful showed their
appreciation. The OUDL will be there the rest of the season and
every season after this. Why? Because we are Sooners and we love
our team, win or lose, 14-0 or 3-8.
On
the social side of things, the OUDL has set a date to return to
the gridiron on Dec. 1 at 2pm to battle the tubas. The OUDL is hoping
to repeat last year's beating, but will have to do so with a new
quarter back. Like last year, the OUDL/abuT matchup will be one
of speed vs size. The OUDL offense will feature standouts in run/pass
threat Paul at QB, Jamar and Greg at WR, and Jeremy at whatever.
The running back situation may come down to who can stand to get
tackle the most with fumbling. If eligibility if granted, Troy would
be a big help. Richard may be ideal since the dangerously underweight
offensive line would only have to make a hole the size of a potato.
Speaking of potatos, expect Dave to be at presence at tight end.
The all-nothing offensive line will, as in past years, consist of
players that are only meant to get in the way. The mess of arms
and legs belonging that gangly bunch will keep the massive tubas
from getting to Paul too quickly. Check in next week for a run-down
of the OUDL defense.
