Religion                                          

China is a country that harbors many religions. The main religions are Buddhism, Taoism,

Islam, Catholicism, and Protestantism. There are no restrictions placed on the practice of religion. Citizens are allowed to freely follow the religion of their choice.

Religion and education are separated. Religion is not a subject taught in Chinese schools, however, there are several religious schools set up by various religious organizations. All normal religious activities of followers are protected by law and can not be interfered with.

The various religions in China have become part of the traditional Chinese thinking and culture. The Chinese government supports these religions and encourages them to help in the construction of the country. Religious disputes are not found in China. Dance

Chinese dancing plays a large role in the rich culture of its people. In China, dance began with primitive hunters mimicking animals as a part of hunting ceremonies. Now it is has become a part of life. The Chinese are known for their festivals and banquets and they use dance to tell stories and as good luck.
