The Moon and the Glare

Sometimes the heat is just too much

Sometimes the sun's too much to bear
Sometimes I see my failures and my sins
And fear the truth's almighty glare

Sometimes its easier to just don my shades
And look away from the light
To find a lone lowly lit room
And stay there through the long chilled night

But then through the cracks of the room's wall
A light seeps in through the place
It's gentle and it's pleading...
Cool and full of love and grace

I let it fill my heart with hope
My guilt and fear they fall away
As it leads me with its graceful rays
Into a new awaiting day
