SCHOOL STUFF
I am currently an elementary education major at OU.  I graduate in December.  Hooray!!!  I have been in school for sooooo long!  I am very much a super senior!  I can not wait to be a teacher!  I knew that I wanted to be a teacher at a very young age because I loved writing on the chalkboard and playing school with my stuffed animals!  For Christmas one year the only thing on my list was a chalkboard (sick, huh!).

WORK STUFF
I have been a proud team member at Target for four years!  I love working there!  It is a great place to work and the people are awesome!  I love the stuff that we sale too.!  The discount is a wonderful thing!  Remember, EXPECT MORE, PAY LESS-TARGET!

STUFF I LIKE
My favorite things in life are church, family, friends, animals, and flowers

Church
I love going to church on Sundays for worship and Christian fellowship.  Sunday is my favorite day of the week!  I have attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman for my entire life!  Love it!

Family
My family means everything to me!
My mom is my #1 role model when it comes to teaching!  She is a teacher and so was my grandma, so it runs in the family!
My dad is so much fun!  He's like a big kid!
My brother is the coolest person that I know!

Friends
I am so thankful for all of my friends!  We have so much fun together no matter what we're doing (shopping, eating, boatage, doing a bunch of nothing, whatever!).  I have friends scattered all over the country that I know from high school, OU, work, and church!
I absolutely love 'em!

Animals
I absolutely adore animals!  My only criteria for liking an animal is that it must have fur!  I really don't care for reptiles of any kind (except turtles and frogs) or FISH!  I hate fish!  I don't like to catch them, look at them, swim with them, or eat them!

But back to the furry stuff!  My family has 5 cats (Bubba, Cleopatra, Prissy, Squeaky, and Sugar) and 3 dogs (Burt, Ernie, and Charlie).  We like to call our house the Merchant Menagerie.  It's like a miniature petting zoo right in the backyard.  At the peak of the Merchant Menagerie we had cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits.  The princess of the house was our pug named Peaches.  We lost her in May.  It was the saddest thing ever!

Flowers
I love flowers!  I think that they are one of God's gifts to us!  My favorite quote is:

In the future I would like to teach elementary school in either Oklahoma or Texas.  I definitely plan to get my Master's degree, probably as a reading specialist.  I would really like to go on a short term mission trip as a teacher some day.  Also, I would eventually like to get married and have kids, but there is no rush for that right now.
