Information: The Churning of the
Milk Ocean statue at the
Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. Vishnu is
incarnated as a great turtle (Kurma) who supports the mountain Mandara
on his back. Vasuki, the king of the serpents, is curled around the
mountain and the demigods and demons pull on the serpent's body to
churn the water of the ocean to produce the nectar of immortality.
