Reading-Tutors
Many children need extra help to become good readers, and all students benefit from individualized attention. Building a strong tutor/mentor program provides the infrastructure to help boost student reading scores across the board. Our resources give tutors the tools to help emergent readers gain key literacy skills. Reading-tutors is a low-cost, easy-to-use collection of research-based resource packets. Each packet contains everything tutors need for a successful tutor/mentor session. This site is really appropriate for reading tutors and teachers who need to accommodate children with reading problems. It has lesson packets that teach the fundamentals of phonological awareness, phonics, alphabet, and fluency. If a teacher has a problem with some students in her class with reading problems they could purchase this material as a supplment to their own lesson plans.
