| My name is Nathan Rankin, I attend the University of Oklahoma and I am majoring in Aviation-Professional Pilot. Last semester I earned my Private Pilots license, and I'm working on advanced this semester. Advanced is just learning and perfecting more flight manuavers that are used while one is flying. After graduating from OU I plan on trying to either get my flight instuructors license or become a reserver pilot in the Airforce. Eventually however, I plan on becoming a commercial pilot for a major airliner such as United, or flying cargo such as FedEx or UPS. |
| I played baseball nearly my whole life and through high school. My senior year, while playing on varsity, my team made it to state finals but unfortuanatly lost. I started pitching our last game against Broken Arrow, but we did not win that game, and we were knocked out of the tournement. However, I have many great memories from that season. Over spring break the team and I went down to Boca Raton florida, where we played in a tournement. I pitched the first game which we won 6-1 against a team called Orange County, who were from Florida. As a team we finished 2-2 in Florida, but we all had a great time at the beach and going to a Marlins spring training game where they played the Dodgers. After high school, I went and played a year of Juior college baseball at a school in Kansas called Coffeyville Community College. While I was up there I made a lot of very good friends that I will be friends with for a long time. After a year however, I decided to move on. I have lived in Norman for about 10 years now, and have always wanted to go to OU. So, when I found out that OU has such a great Aviation program, it was a very easy choice for me. |
