Dear
child of mine,
child of the great Vishnu, how do I begin?
There are so many things you ask about me and my life. There are many stories to be told and many
things to learn. How can I expect to fit all of these into such a
short
period of time? I do not think that I can tell the stories in
such a
short time frame. There are many things you need to learn and
understand
before you can begin to hear the stories of my life and the different
parts of
my life.
Child, I have had many lives and many parts within each life. There have been many more than others have
and many more than others are allowed to have. These chapters and
parts
of my life are called avatars. Avatars are each a part of me in a
special
way an avatar is an incarnations of a deity.
While avatars are incarnations, I see my avatars as
reincarnations of me.
I have several incarnations. There are
ten very famous avatars of me and there are more stories than I can
tell in one
setting. For you to understand how all of these things work
together, you
must understand reincarnation. So, I
must continue with the basic idea.
There
are many avatars and many stories of me that we can focus on. My child, there are so many principles,
ethics and basic ideas to choose from. While
I am interested in knowing what you want to learn about, I think there
are
certain stories that you must hear first. I also think we must
and need
to focus on a few to truly ensure the knowledge and learning of these
stories.
As these few stories are understood and learned we will add slowly to
your soon-to-
be vast knowledge so that you, my child, will become an expert.
One of the stories I will tell you is about the great Rama. Rama
is the
son of the great King Dasaratha. Rama is so important and
influential
that there is an entire epic written about him. The epic is
called The
Ramayana. Rama is the focus of many people and their
ideals. Rama
is such a loyal, respected, passionate and fair persona that he should
never be
left out in the accounts of all of my avatars.
I will tell you two stories of Rama.
The first story I will tell you is of Rama and Ravana. The second story I will tell you is of Rama
and Sita. I must tell you these two
stories in particular so that you understand about doing what is right
for the
world and fighting for true love.
Krishna, like Rama, is
the subject of a great epic, the Mahabharata. My child, I will
tell you
the story of Krishna at a later time. I
will get to this and other stories, but now I must focus on Rama.
