NOTICE
Due to the fact that I am not currently enrolled for next semester, and don't expect to be (the classes I want would cut too far into my work schedule), this page and the cshermanATou.edu email address will shortly become defunct. I don't know how promptly the IT office gets around to clearing out old student webspace, but expect it to be sometime between 12/16 and mid-January. For bloggage, change your bookmarks to http://www.livejournal.com/users/ghilliedhu/. For mailage, use sillabubATcare2.com. Thank you.

Well, yesterday pretty much sucked. Started out okay, but around 11 pm, Jim's friend Jak (who is also our next-door neighbor) knocked on our door asking to borrow the phone. Turned out that Cat, the sweet gray furball who stays with Jak, was sick, probably allergic to her new flea collar. Jak found an emergency animal clinic up in Oklahoma City, and the three of them sped up there as fast as Jim could drive, but just a couple minutes before they arrived, Cat stopped breathing. :( The vet couldn't revive her. Apparently she had drowned in her own lung fluids.

Goodbye, Cat. You had to put up with more teasing and pestering than any feline should, but you tolerated us all with grace and gentility (most of the time). Thank you. I hope wherever you are now, you get all the greasy fast food scraps you could wish for.

And everyone, please watch your pets carefully whenever you try a new product or medication on them.

`Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on.
`I do,' Alice hastily replied; `at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know.'
`Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.
