CONCLUSION

I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to read the information on this web project. I hope you have learned what I have,  and more over the last 14 weeks. I have learned much more than I expected to designing and creating this web project. For starters, I am not the most computer literate person, even with a father who is a computer engineer. I was thankful that learning to create this web page was not as hard as I thought. I ran into a few minor problems, but the main point is that I finished it. I had hoped to make it more colorful or interactive for the reader, but that is not what is important. What I wanted to make sure is that all of you  who read my web project understood why I chose the topic this topic.

I wanted to inform readers of famous women from our history. I wish I could have picked more than three to research about, but was limited by time and three was recommended by my professor. Initially I thought I was going to have difficulty finding information on a famous woman from the Ancient time period. Lucky me, I found more names and more available information on women from the Ancient time period than I did for women in the Medieval and Early Modern Science time period. I hypothesized that famous and intelligent women went unrecognized and un-acredited from our past history. To no big suprise, my hypothesis was right. Of all the history classes I have taken throughout my college career have all focused soley on men and thier intelligence and contributions to science.  The majority of what I learned of male involvement in the feild of science is simply, without them, then we would not have science or would not be at the level of understanding of science. This is false. I found hundreds of names of many influential women from our past history. It seems that we have forgotten the women of science and if it wasn't for them, the men would not have what they claim to be science soley by thier own hand.

I have learned what I knew was my hypothesis. Becasue of how women were veiwed in our past history, their intelligence and influence in the feild of science has gone unrecognized until recent professionals have written books and made it known to all that powerful women from our past did indeed exist. I researched more women than the three I chose for this project,  and it seems clear that the men would not have survived without women. Some famous and influential men from our past history were supported by thier wives. Some took credit for the research and knowledge of thier own wives.
I knew there were  women who existed in our past history, but it was a matter of finding them and then learing about them. I did just that. What I thought was going to be a hard topic turned out to be a bit easier than I thougt. I think this says something about the 20th century.  Women are making a come back and proving thier worth in this world. Women are smart and intelligent creatures and have the ability to accomplish and do anything and more than men. Women are still thought of as very different toward men and not thier equal, but that theory is slowly changing with time. All women need to do, is to continue on the road we have been trucking down and continue to shine in the same ray of light with men as equals.
