Jake gets the cache!
Hello, world, I am not dead.
I have recently tacking up an exciting new hobby called geocaching. In the experience of this exciting experience, you punch in latitude and longitude to a gps receiver, and follow the receiver to the coordinates to find a treasure. Or an ammo can. Or a grubby old piece of tupperware. In any case, the container has a log book and little goodies to trade for. You sign the log and trade the goodies.
Also, I watched The Silence of the Lambs for the first time. It is a very, very good movie. Kind of creepy, and very good. You should rent it if you have never seen it. I also read the book.
This weekend April and I went to Quail Springs as a delayed birthday celebration for me. We saw Sixteen Blocks and Failure to Launch. I like to go the movies a whole heckaton. She also treated me to a book or two at Books-A-Million. Yeah for birthdays! Hooray for good times!
My TiVo is the envy of the neighborhood! It now holds over 400 hours on basic quality, and something like 116 hours and 22 minutes on best quality! Now we record everything on best quality!
24 is currently my favorite show. This season has just been nonstop amazingness. Possibly the best season of 24 ever! You heard me correctly--this season may be better than the first season. We still have like two more months, but if they can keep this level of majorly awesomeness for most of that time, this could well be the best season of 24 in all of recorded history.
The Sopranos returned last night. April and I watched our first episode of it on TV ever, as opposed to DVD or something. It is also a good show, and this season could roxor my soxors right offor. We also watched this show called Big Love about a bunch of Mormons (one guy + three wives + seven childrens). Much like 6 Feet Under, I find watching the dynamics of families much more screwed up than any I have ever been a part of intriguing.
I am typing up this post really fast because I want to finish it and go read a book that's due back at the library tomorrow. Maybe I should go to the library's website and recheck it. I think I'll do that.
Settlers of Catan! Whee!
