Peer Review Sheet-Profile
Pass your draft to your partner and read theirs. Write on the draft and also answer the following questions. Verbally explain to your partner your responses as well:
1. Does the writer thoroughly describe the organization? Underline all passages that describe the organization. Do you get a clear picture of what it is and what it does?
2. Is the introduction descriptive and does it outline the rest of the paper? If it doesn’t, is it still an effective beginning? Explain here the what is the strongest part of the introductory paragraph.
3. Is the data from the research relevant to the profile? Has there been strong editorial choices made in backing up points with evidence? Why/not? Give examples from the profile to explain your answers.
4. Does the writer’s evaluation of the organization seem to follow from her/his data and description? You don’t have to agree with the evaluation, but you should be able to see how the writer comes to this conclusion. Why/not? Give examples from the profile to explain your answers.
5. If this were your profile, what one content change would you make? Why?
6. Can you always tell where the information the writer is using comes from? Place a star by any data whose source is unclear.
