- How effective is the introduction in gaining your
interest and attention? Why?
- Are the promises of the introduction fulfilled by the
end of the story? Why or why not?
- How effective is the conclusion in providing a sense of
completion? Why?
- What is the dominant impression conveyed by the story?
List the words and phrases that support this impression.
- Do you detect any inconsistencies in the narrative?
List the words and phrases that seem inconsistent.
- On the back of this sheet, give the writer one
suggestion for improvement. Indicate areas that would benefit from more vivid
description, better time sequencing, or added conflict/tension.
