All About Me!
My
Family
Here
are some pictures of my family on our vacation to Hawaii over Spring Break
2003:
|
|
| Here
we are on our first night in Hawaii eating some local food! (Sarah, my mom,
me, and Nick.) |
My
sister and I tried the Royal Hawaiian's specialty drink on Waikiki Beach.

|
| This
is my family at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. Sarah, my mom, Nick, me,
and my dad. |
This
is my mom, dad, and sister at our favorite restaurant, Jamison's. I
have the best family!!! |
Kappa Alpha Theta
I have been a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority for the past three and a half years. I was privileged to serve as President of the OU chapter in 2002, and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
This is a painting of our house on the University of Oklahoma's campus.
Here
are some pictures of my Theta friends:
|
|
|
In the summer of 2002, I attended Theta Grand Convention in Orlando, Florida, with 7 girls from my house. This is me with Helen Woodward, former Theta Grand Convetion President. She is an alum from Alpha Omicron, the Theta chpater at OU! |
On our afternoon
off, we went to Disney World. It was so much fun...even though
it rained and we got lost! |
|
|
| Some of
my Theta friends and I went to Boca Raton, Florida for Spring
Break. This is me, Laura, Reba, and Heather deep sea fishing!
We only took one fish home, but we still had a good time. |
Marianne
and I kited Nick and Aaron at our annual formal, Kite and Key,
last January. |
|
Laura, Reba,
Meredith and I posed at our date party, Peace Love & Theta.
We dressed up like hippies and danced the night away! |
Also in the summer of 2002, I spent a month in Italy. I took two classes during the week and traveled on the weekends with two of my good friends from OU. We went to Milan, Venice, Florence, Pisa, and Rome. We also went to London for a few days before we came back to the states.
Here
are some of the pictures from my trip:
|
|
| This is
a typical street in Italy. Energy is very expensive there,
so most Italians hang their clothes outside of their windows
to dry. It makes for very colorful pictures! |
This is
Reba and I on our gondola ride in Venice. Luckily we didn't
fall in the dirty water! |
|
|
| These are
the gondolas lined up in Venice. Cars are not allowed within
the city, and the popular form of transportation is water buses.
Gondolas are usually only used by tourists. |
I first
learned about the Leaning Tower of Pisa in my 2nd grade class.
I always wanted to see it in real life, and this summer I was
finally able to fulfill that wish. |
I grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
I still keep in contact with my friends from high school, even though
we all attend different colleges.
|
|
| We recently
took a trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas to see Britney and Amy.
Britney finally stopped cheering at a game long enough to take
a picture with us. |
This is
Megan, Jill, me, Amy, and Hollye watching the game. Boy are
we excited! GO HOGS! |
