Now I write music. I still listen to just
about everything, but
my music is really driven by what I’m listening to at the time I write
a
song.

If I’m heavy into electronic
music I’ll come up with a song and tune and then
think of what kind of
electronic beat I can make to complement it, like David Grey.

Or if I’m heavy into rockabilly (a kind of country flavored rock),
like
Mason Jennings, then
the song will come out rockabilly.
I'm not saying that I am anywhere near
these guys, but I try to copy and do what they do.It
depends on what I am currently into, but most of the time I try to come
up with
music that will fit the lyrics and emotions of the song.
Most are slow, soft, sappy songs about girls and all of life's
problems. Soon enough I'll have it all figured out and in tune
with a hip guitar melody.
